Physics Clean Day at Pantai Segara Ayu Sanur

On Sunday, May 2, 2026, the Student Association of the Physics Study Program, together with faculty members, carried out a community service activity titled Physics Clean Day at Pantai Segara Ayu, located in Sanur. This initiative was in conjunction with the commemoration of Indonesia’s National Education Day, reflecting the implementation of educational values that extend beyond academic excellence to include social and environmental responsibility.

The activity focused on a beach clean-up campaign as a response to the increasingly concerning condition of coastal environments due to the accumulation of waste. As one of Bali’s prominent tourist destinations, the Sanur area plays a vital role in supporting the tourism sector. Therefore, maintaining its cleanliness and sustainability is a shared responsibility, including that of the academic community.

This initiative is also aligned with the Bali Provincial Government’s environmental preservation programs, which emphasize the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness and sustainability. These values are consistent with the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, particularly the Palemahan aspect, which highlights the harmonious relationship between humans and the environment.

Through this activity, students and lecturers of the Physics Study Program at Universitas Udayana demonstrated a strong commitment to contributing to environmental conservation. This action is expected not only to have a direct impact on beach cleanliness but also to raise public awareness about the importance of preserving the environment for the sustainability of ecosystems and the advancement of Bali’s tourism industry.
