Community Service Activity at Pantai Jimbaran Bali

On Sunday, April 19, 2026, the atmosphere at Jimbaran Beach, Badung, Bali, was slightly different from usual. The Physics Study Program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Udayana, organized a community service activity in the form of a beach clean-up. The event involved both lecturers and students, particularly members of the Physics Student Association (HIMAFI), as a tangible response to the ongoing waste management issues in Bali’s coastal areas.

This initiative was not merely about collecting trash but also about raising environmental awareness. With a strong spirit of collaboration, participants actively cleaned the shoreline, demonstrating that maintaining environmental sustainability is a shared responsibility. The synergy between lecturers and students aimed to set a positive example for the broader community.

The head of the activity, Kadek Nova Anggarani, S.Si., M.Si., stated that the community service program ran smoothly and received enthusiastic participation. She emphasized the importance of sustaining such initiatives to maximize their long-term impact. “We hope similar activities can be carried out regularly and involve more local communities, so that efforts to maintain beach cleanliness can become more effective and sustainable,” she said.

Through this program, the Physics Study Program of FMIPA Universitas Udayana not only contributes academically but also demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental preservation. It is hoped that this simple yet meaningful action will inspire greater public awareness and encourage wider participation in protecting the cleanliness and sustainability of Bali’s beaches.
